i have neither short or medium hair 1 to 1 1/2 inches of hair but the problem is that i was very very very smooth hair so it goes down if i dont use gel my hair will be in a shape of a tee-pee since it so smooth and a little of the top of like alfafa from that movie so thats why i use gel but it doesnt doesnt come out i dont like it long and i look wierd with real short i already tried that what should i do

Use gel and rub your finger through your hair and mess it up..its just a short fade with gel in it to make it look messy and casual.

oh baby hell yes... Try moose... You say it's one and a half inches thats considered medi spectri and since it is so smooth try using Aussie Volumizing Moose... Also try to get white blonde streaks based on dark brown hair... Brings out the extension! Oh also to get that rough style in you might want to Apply the moose then dry off with a lint free towel only difference is that you dry it forward so it can shape to that style Got me?

After you shower let it dry for the most part then just use gel but massage it through your hair instead of spiking.
