Help on scrunching my hair?

whenever i look up similar questions to this, it says towel dry your wet hair then use gel or hairspray then use a diffuser and scrunch it. that's not what i need to learn how to do. *

*** whenever i try this, my hair gets so so super FRIZZY it looks disgusting. ** there are loose hairs literally everywhere that looks too ugly to go out in public with. i need help on how to scrunch it without the frizz. best answer gets lots of points.

I have naturally curly hair too. It took me FOREVER to find the right combination to make my hair look good. Here is what I use. I first towel dry my hair, then use a water bottle to keep it wet (too dry makes it frizzy for me). I then use a pik to work out the knots. Then I use Tresemme (sp?) curl defining mousse. After that, I use "Curls Rock" by Catwalk. Lastly, I use my diffuser. I use a flexible hairspray to lock it in after all that (with my head upside down). It's a long process, but it makes my curls so soft and I never have fly-away's. Hope this helps!

PS... I forgot to add that all the while I am doing this, I continue to scrunch along the way.

i know when you go out to the store you try to look for a gel that won't make your hair all crunchy. But get the kind that makes it crunchy it works a lot better and it looks a lot neater and less frizzy.. First, put the gel in your hair and while the gel is still wet scrunch your hair [[hold the ends of your hair and push upwards]] for looser waves don't scrunch as much maybe once per section.. then when you hair dries it should come out neat and frizzless

use curl shampoos and conditioners and towel dry your hair. Then comb it out, dont brush it. Put in a frizz reducer mousse or cream and then scrunch you hair. Then you can diffuse it and it should be less frizzy. good luck!

it is hard to say without being able to see your hair. It sounds like you may been a heavier gel. Try defining gel by aquage or curls rock amplifier by tigi. DO NOT dry your hair 100%. You want only about 80% dry. If you dry it completely, it will friz like crazy. Also, when using the diffuser, use a low air speed setting with a higher heat setting and just let sections sit in the fingers a little at a time. also make sure you use plenty of product. dont be afraid to comb through the hair after putting the gel in (before drying) to distribute the gel more evenly. Good luck

I am also a hairstylist and I completely agree with Master Hairstylist's answer.................... and YES Curls Rock and the whole Catwalk line for curls is what I find as the best..........
