Get some paper towel or an old clean cotton shirt you can rip into rags.

Wash your hair and use a really good leave-in conditioner. If you don't have one. Mix a tiny amount of your regular conditioner with a little water and comb it through your hair.

Let your hair dry a little, don't use heat. When the hair is slightly damp. Take irregular sections of hair and twist the rag up like a curler and tie into a little bow. Bigger sections are better, you get curls and waves. Small sections will frizz up. In the morning, finger comb your hair. Don't brush or use a regular comb.

here are some suggestions to get wavy/curly hair. i havent tried some of them, but i ve heard that they work-

put some hairspray in ur hair before going to bed and the tossing and moving will create random waves

braid ur hair and when u remove it there will be waves

put some defining product in ur hair and keep twirling it around ur finger. then, finger comb gently through to separate the waves

use sea salt spray or surf spray. sea salt will give really pretty beach waves

use mousse

I'd recommend the brand Depp. On the scale of 1-10 for hold, it's a 12. I think it's called Depp Glue. It doesn't flake, and it holds in humidity. Also, it says that over the day if it starts to wear out, you can rejuvenate it again just by running a wet hand through your hair. Good stuff.

Bedhead works really well. I would also suggest, if you blow dry your hair, to use a cooler setting than you normally use. This helps with my frizzies a lot. And if your hair parts a certain way, blow dry with the direction your hair points.

Hi! So I know that I shouldn't take showers daily with shampoo, but I have dandruff, and it tends to get not so pretty if I don't take daily care of it. I am not a chemist but.....I would think that sulfur (the way you use it) would not be toxic unless you are allergic to sulfur or sulfa drugs. Most people that put sulfur compounds in their hair do so because it is prescribed by a doctor to get rid of lice and nits because nothing else will do the deed.

Okay, I know exactly what you mean. I have naturally curly hair, and I'm actually Puerto Rican too! However, I do not do my hair that way. I think it looks pretty stiff and not very natural.

But, if you DO want this look, you can accomplish it by using any type of curly hair gel or mouse. The girls you are talking about probably use a lot of the product, which makes it very stiff. You should wash your hair, apply the product to your hands and then all throughout your hair making sure to cover all areas including underneath and in the middle.

If you want to achieve a more natural look and eliminate frizz, you can do what I do. I use Curl Life by Matrix shampoo, conditioner and mouse. The trick is to keep your hair moisturized, because curly hair is very course and dry. Do not shampoo your hair every day; do it about every other day. You can still shower and use conditioners to help keep it conditioned. After I shower I use the mouse and then dry my hair for a few minutes with a diffuser and let it dry naturally the rest of the way. It is a little bit still for a while until it's completely dry, but once it's completely dry, my curls are tight, controlled, NOT frizzy and they look great!

Its actually really easy to do its better if you start out with wetting your hair. After you wet it you get some mousse and flip your hair to the front and apply the mousse on all of it. Then whenever you got you hair curly like you wanted it get hairspray and flip it once again and start spraying it everywhere. i think,

you should get some leave in gel for WET hair, and spike it up in the way you want to while it's still wet or damp.

and straighten it in the way you want it to be, with that leave in gel stuff still in your hair.

I have a problem with my hair always being or falling flat even after I blow-dry upside down and use the "volumizing" shampoo products. Ever since I was little, it's been like baby hair and won't hold a curl or a crimp for the life of me. During the winter it's always FULL of static and feels even more baby like than before. Use some volumising shampoo and conditioner (not too much conditioner, tease ur hair with a comb with small teeth and then brush it out, dont let ur hair dry yet, put ur hair into VERY small plaits and leave them in for a day or two ( best done over the weekend so no one sees ur hair if it goes messy) take it out and just giveit a quick brush , if its still wet use a hair dryer and dry it from the inside out so it gives ur hair a nice fluffy affect. It should get some nice crimps through it and have abit more volume.

If your up to it getting some serious layers put in your hair helps maybe 3 long ones starting just near your ears working down (it'll give you more to do with your hair when your puting it up aswell).

You need to get a hair analysis done. Then it is up to you to follow up with proper diet and nutrition. Nothing to get scared about, I had snow white hair when I was a baby. I obviously grew out of it.

But here is something to think about. You may have a 閳ユゥopper閳?deficiency. Gray and white hair is a by-product of a 閳ユゥopper閳?deficiency. So when you go to get the analysis done, find out what you need to do to get it fixed.

Also be ware, if you don閳ユ獩 do something about it, it could get worse.

It sounds like you are going prematurely gray.Some people get white hair instead of gray. If this is something you didn't;t have until recently. My son developed a patch of white hair when he was about 15 and he still has just that patch. If it is all over you head it is probably gray hair. I knew a guy who was half bald at 19, so it could be worse. You can always dye it.

I started to get white hairs when I was 15 (they's why I am greyguy now!). In my case, it's genetic - probably in yours too. The white ones were the majority by the time I was 30 or so. When it was obviously premature it looked great! I'm near 60 and still have a full head of hair.

My older brother, who has very few grey ones, has a bald spot the size of his palm on the top/back of his head. I guess the white ones don't fall out!

You can spread gel all throughout your hair, and it will stay in place for much longer than hairspray, because hairspray is just a light spirtz of hairgel to be honest. If you want a fixed style, use gel, but if you want just a messy style, use a very small about of gel, rubbed into your palms first and run it through your hair.

Wax is stronger if you want a good firm hold as well. My bro uses wax on his hair, looks great too ;)

gel is probably going to give you a better hold then spray unless you put HEAPS of hairspray on but then you don't want the whole hard, crusty hairstyle look do you?

do i'd go for gel, look for one that has a really good hold and apply a good amount but not too much otherwise your hair just looks like a big mess.

hairspray is better for teased hairstyles that need to hold individual hairstrands kept in place where as gel gives you a more overall hold which i think you are looking for...

also try not to touc it too much because that allows that removes the product and unmoulds your hairstyle

Don't do it! I did it like eight years ago.

1) The time frame was not long enough to get rid of the hair.

2) I left it on a little longer and it burned like crazy. The hair came off, but I was seriously scarred. I still have some scars.

I guess the formulas could have changed, but I don't advise trying it. Just stick with shaving or spring for a professional wax.

just wait a little bit after getting the perm to straighten it like a week or so. i had one and its still not out over a year later. its become wayy looser cuz my hair is heavy but i like how it is now, wavy and pretty. they usually last until your hair has grown out and you cut off the hair that was permed. mine cost $65 and my hair was down to mid-back so it depends where you go and how long your hair is.

I've been getting perms since I was 14. They usually range from $60-$100 and they typically last up to a year if you take good care of it. Bear in mind that it really fries your hair so if your hair is already frizzy a perm will only make it frizzier. Perms need deep conditioners and hair masks every so often to keep down the frizz. You can flat iron it but be sure to use a heat protecting spray beforehand and be sure to have conditioned your hair the night before. Hope that helps!

Hi! I just got a perm about 3 weeks ago for my first time. I got a loose fit perm and i love it, I had the same problem as you I had straight hair and liked it curly/wavy but i didnt like the wet look and crunchy feeling. It was 100 dollars for just the perm but i had to get special shampoo and conditioner plus a bottle of this creme stuff for styling which made the amount 130 dollars. My hair dresser told me that I can straighten my hair whenever i want after the first washing which i had to wait 2 days before i washed it to let the perm set in. My hair dresser said a perm lasts about 6 months usually or until it grows out. Mine has become a little loser since but i still like it alot. Hope this helps and good luck!

I have that is very thick and coarse, and it looks poofy unless I put something in it. It's almost like hair that should be curly but is straight. My dad's hair is like mine but his is a little curly (he's italian) and my mom's is thick too but straight (she's irish).

Ok. First off, you never said how long your hair is now! If you have short hair, the longer you grow it; more the puffiness will subside. The more layers you have, the more your hair will look BIG. The longer the layers the better. I would also suggest thinning the hair at about an 1" from the roots (depending on how coarse your hair is.) (a straight razor is best)

If your hair is shorter I suggest major texturizing with a straight razor. (throughout, (root to end)) I would try a different stylist.

Redkin Allsoft ( the heavy cream conditioner ) %26amp; their regular "All Soft " daily shampoo %26amp; conditioner is great as well. The heavy texturizing will make your hair light %26amp; spikeyish. The messy look. This is the look for today!

I am afraid gel or wax type products are needed with any style or hair type. Good Luck!!! Dar P.S. At least you have plenty of hair to work with! You can always take hair away but if you have nothing to work with to start, you really lose.

A very small amount of extra virgin olive oil. It'll take out the frizz. That's what I use when I run out of gloss drops! It works, but you have to be careful not to use too much!!! Plus, it moisturizes your hair. You can also try blow drying your hair on a low setting. Olive oil will give it that wet look, though.

My usual routine is shampoo every other day, condition every day, and finger work using kiehl's lotion and hair gel. This works fine.

I live in Pennsylvania now, but every time I travel, my hair goes wacky with whatever weather that region has.

don't bother 'doing' your hair for the trip. leave in your regular conditioner and rinse it out when you get to your hotel. or get it flat ironed with lots of product in it so it won't fly away (lol. get it?).

check out the weather conditions where you are going and take along the products that work for your hair in that kind of weather.

typically, humidity makes hair frizzy and curly and dry air makes it fly away and frizzy; either way, it's frizzy (argh! i hate it, too).

throw away any products with glycerine. they make hair worse in the long run.

Tomorrow, for crazy hair day, I agreed to get a mohawk. It's not gonna be an actual mohawk, because I don't wanna shave my head or anything, and I'm not getting it cut for a faux-hawk. I got this got2b instant freeze stuff, normal hair spray, hair gel, mousse, and a bunch of other stuff. No paste or putty though, and I don't think I have any normal glue.

I do have a hair straightener, which I heard helps when making a mohawk. Borrowed it from a friend, it's a Conair..infiniti? Something like that. Has 310, 330, 360, and 390 degree settings.

well, the first step starts in the shower. you have to put some conditioner after you wash your hair. preferably, use anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. after that, when you comb and blow dry your hair, put a bit of mineral oil (if you don't want to buy anti-frizz products), about 1 or 2 drops will do before you do comb or brush your hair. this will prevent static and hence, no frizzy hair. try combing or brushing your hair from your nape to the crown while blow drying it. then when it's done, comb it from crown to nape. i think that should give your hair extra body without the frizz. of course, there are lots of hair products that keeps out the frizz in the market. i like the citrus shine polishing serum (i think there's one for frizzy hair). it's up to you if you still want to use pins on your hair.

use your flat iron to get it as straight as possible and a lot of hairspray and teasing... tease the entire crown of your head and then just smooth the top layer over it.....spray tons of hairspray and run your figers through it to mess it up a bit... then spray again to hold..

Dab some of that on your bangs and then using a straightener straighten your hair so that instead of it being totally parted to the side you have it in your face. your hair seems like its damaged from all of the products you use such as the gel. you need to give your hair a break from the gel. try going a week or longer with out putting any products in your hair. get a shampoo and conditioner to restore some of the moisture and nutrients back in your hair. then you should try to get your hair trimmed to cut off some of the damaged hair. it will take time to go back to its healthy look but be patient.

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

I have the same type of hair. Use a good conditioner in the shower, such as Pantene or John Frieda. Rinse it most of the way out but leave a little it (your hair should still feel a little slick). Scrunch it dry with the towel (rubbing creates frizz which creates poof). I recommend using Paul Mitchell Hair gel, or if your budget can't afford a $20 tube of gel (mine can't), go for Queen Helene Cholesterol gel. Its amazing. Apply liberally, and follow up with some hairspray. Your hair will be on the crunchy side, but there will be NO poof!

Ok , worked 10 year male hair stylist, I think i can help . You need to spent a little money, First Find a good hairdresser ,cuts can make a huge difference , I'm not talking a walk in place either. call around and find someone who is booked up 1 week . make an appointment . spending $15 more is worth it . Next use supper skinny shampoo and conditioner (Paul Mitchell ) Then Redkin stand tuff gel or osis goo. on towel dried hair not to much ,But make sure its on from roots to ends all over . Then use redkin #15 paste but only put on the ends . hope this helps.

Hey! Guess what I have the same problem too! People get frizzy hair because its dry and brittle. Now you can buy different products to calm down the frizz, like heavy conditioners (leave ins, wash outs etc.) You can also buy Frizeaze. This product helps weigh down the hair. You can also try washing your hair with Sunsilk, they have a specific shampoo and conditioner designed for this problem. Let's see, when using gel try not to use to much. Just a size of a dime then rub it between your hands then spread through hair,Also when you put the gel in start from the top of your head and work down, comb your fingers through your hair! if you need more do it in small sizes. If you put too much gel in you will dry out your hair even more, same goes with hair spray, mousee etc. Always get your hair trimmed to cut off the dead ends, yes they cause some of the frizziness. Ask your hair stylist how often you should get your hair trimmed. Also I do this thing for my hair its called Chi. It last over 6 months and keeps my hair straight and frizz free! Its soo awesome. See if any stylist do it in your neighborhood. But don't buy the product in the store because its meant to be done in steps!!!! I hope some of this info helps you! Remember heavy condition and light on the gel. Flat iron to might help. Work with your hair, not against it. i have this same problem.....i now use DOVE shampoo and conditioner.......i have a blowdryer with a brush attachment and i blowdry my hair and then use the brush attachment on the blowdryer and brush through my hair multiple times over and over until my hair is completely dry and straight. this look usually lasts all day long......it is time consuming but beauty is painful.......it usually takes me 45 min to an hour for the process........
