Ok I totally understand your problem .. gels and stuff do cause white stuff because its basically dried out gel it happens alot when you itch your scalp or sumthing but the best way to avoid it is by using moose ! its so much better than gel and doesnt leave the residue!

Switch from hair gels to a mousse. Mousse will give you the look and control without the flaky white residue gels leave behind. Go easy on the mousse though otherwise, you will have hard clumps throughout your hair. A little experimenting will go a long way.

Princess,

the condition you are describing only happens when too much of the product is used. When too much is used it will cause a white residue when dried. Try using less, about the size of a dime at a time, rub into palms of hands first, then apply it to your hair. (only apply when hair is wet....this will help dilute it into the hair too.)

Wishing you "Good Hair Days"
