Mixed child hair?

I want to twist my daughters hair. She is mixed and has spiraled hair and I need to know what kind of hair gel I can use on her to help her hair stay down.

dont use gel use grease. blue magic is coo and so is pink lotion.

Don't use a gel, it will set hard. Try a serum.

You can dilute some conditioner with water too and spray on the hair to keep it soft

When you say "mixed" do you mean part Caucasian and part African-American? You don't want to break her hair. If she's half African-American you probably want to ask a hairdresser who has lots of African-American clients. If you can't find one you like/trust, go to a Sally Beauty Supply or similar store and ask the staff for recommendation. You can describe her hair to them or, better yet, take her with you so they can help you find the best product for her hair.

you will want to make sure you use a product that has moisturizer in it. how long do you plan to leave the twists in? make sure that you don't use a spritz or a gel that will make her hair hard like a brick....that is asking for breakage. Motions is a great product and can be purchased in Walmart. "Let's Jam!" is a good one too. If you live near one, go to a beauty supply store in an african american neighborhood
