my hair is short and spiky, like a 1 on the side feaed to a 7 on top

with this hair i look like those racer guys but i dont like that typical look

i want the mean gangster look with the short slick back hair

when i tell my friends i want to slick it they saw naw man spiky is nice on you

should i spike or slick?

p.s. when i try to slick back my hair just goes up to spikes in a second...so would mixing hair wax with gel work?
