Has anyone used the hair gels from lush cosmetics?

I love all the bath and shower products from lush and saw some hairgels when I was in the shop today and I like the idea of using something natural and not full of chemicals on my hair. I was just wondering if they give good hold? I was thinking about maybe using the strong hold one to hold curls in? thanks!

Has anyone used the hair gels from lush cosmetics?

My favourite of them is 'The Big Tease'. It seems to work very well for me, I don't need much hold and to be honest it is a bit strong for me but it might work well for you if you're wanting to hold your curls.

The staff working in Lush gave me tips on how to make it work the best. Don't be afraid to ask for free samples of the ones you want to try, if you're nice the staff are usually happy to give you a try to take home.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

I'd hate to see my school burn down because of hair gel.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

Your school is likely to burn down because of the white chicks and their hair mousse.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

thats a retarded question

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

What??????????

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

i think your brain retardent, why would ppl be lighting fires in their hair in the first place, are your clothes flame retardent, and i dont think i heard of ppl wearin jerri curls since 92

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

Talk about retarded- hey!!! maybe u are one of those fools that wanna bring back segregation to save u from the fire caused by goo!!! (I wish i could use the yahoo! smiley right here- the one that rolls its eyes)

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

I think its a petroleum product so it wouldn't be fire retardent.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

excuse me sweetie

by that goo do you mean "hair grease"

alot of BLACK PEOPLE use different things. We do not have naturally moist hair, so we do use grease. And if they are pressing or flat ironing their hair thats a whole other story. Us BLACK PEOPLE like to keep our hair nice as Im sure you do too and we both know that may require "touch ups". I would really doubt the hair grease that we AFRICAN AMERICANS put in our hair would not burn down your school. I hoped you learned something.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

this is a stupid question. and white girls but gel and mousse intheir hair. how about u talk about that.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

Sorry jerk I had to report you after I read all of your racist questions about black people. Nof funny get a life.

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

rephrase the question in a more NICER manner and maybe we will answer your question(:

Is the goo that black people put in their hair fire retardent?

okay, Are you doing that new retarded thing? I think its called robo'trippin! Lay off the cough syrup.

I bought some curlers soft ones for my hair to curl it because my hair is very thin and dosent want

anything my question is should I brush my hair and put gel on it before I put the curlers in my hair overnight? And also in the morning I dont want the curls to come out do I have to blowdry or brush it or use any kind of hairspray I dont want to look I put me finger in a light socket.lol?

I bought some curlers soft ones for my hair to curl it because my hair is very thin and dosent want to do?

At night wash your hair and blow dry it to semi-dry.

Comb a setting lotion through it, which doesn't dry as stiff as gel or mousse.

Use a fine toothed comb to take your sections, comb them smooth, and then roll them. With the spongey rollers hair can easily be stuck in the closing snap, and so must be rolled neat and tidy for ultimal results.

In the morning, carefully remove the rollers but leave your hair in the rolled position. Check for dampness. Lightly blow dry any damp curls. Dampness on set hair will ruin the set before you even walk out the door.

Once the hair is thoroughly dry, rub some of the setting lotion on your hands and gently finger comb it. Don't brush or seperate the curls, they'll fall by themselves and last longer if you leave it be after light finger combing.

Finish with a finishing spray.

Brushing/gel before curlers is good. If your hair is damp in the morning, blow dry with curlers in. Take the curlers out slowly and just run your fingers through to shape it the way you want, then spray with hair spray. you should be good to go! 閳?br>I bought some curlers soft ones for my hair to curl it because my hair is very thin and dosent want to do?

Since your hair is so thin, shampoo or wet the hair before putting gel in your hair. (spray in gels, such as the one Pantene makes works best, as it's not so messy on the hands) In the morning, take all the rollers out of your hair, carefully, so as not to pull your hair out, then take your hairbrush, %26amp; brush through your hair once, real good. Then go back %26amp; style your hair with a pick or a comb. BTW: By brushing through your curls, you are helping to set the curl. When I had my hair salon, I loved doing roller sets %26amp; I miss doing them. Just a helpful tip. If you want a tighter curl in your temple region, use the silver clippies. The curls stay in really well.

Your using the wrong rollers. Buy the plastic, magnetic, snap on rollers with the smooth barrel, and apply setting lotion to wet/damp hair. Nothing else. Let hair dry naturally. You will have smooth, firm, bouncy curls that will last all day until you re-roll up at night. Do not use hair spray or gels, they will make the curls, stiff, hard, and your hard will break off when you try to comb it out.

Hair questions?

I have some hair questions. Answer any please. Thanks!

-How can I get my hair in a perfect ponytail? Whenever I put it up I always have bumps, etc.

-When I put my hair up I use gel to get rid of frizz, etc. Should I put the gel in before I put my hair up or after its up?

-Any tips for frizzy hair?

-How can I have my hair in a pontail with the part still in it? Like how it's in a pony or w/e but you can still see the part? I tried parting my hair and pulling it into a pony but then it has bumps..

-What are some good simple hairstyles?

-For waves[to make your hair wavy by braiding] about how many braids should you put your hair into? How thick should they be and any other tips for getting good waves?

-Any other good hair tips you have that could be useful? Just anything that you know?

Hair questions?

1) What you should do is first straighten your hair. Then pull it into a high, tight pony tail. Then take a rubberband, put some conditioner on it and tie it tightly around your pony tail. This will prevent frizz.

2) I would put it in both times- extra protection!

3) One word- Chi Straightner!

4) Don't- you have to have super thin, straight hair.

5) Braids

6) 3 braids- divide your hair into thirds, (2 braids on the side, 1 in the back) and put a little water into your hair. Sleep on it

7) You should wash your hair every other day. Use a Chi straightner

Hope I help! Have a nice day!

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

You're supposed to wait 24 hours, but I've washed in the morning and done my hair at night and it turned out fine.

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

dirty hair is best to dye. the oils will help hold in the initial color. so i wouldn't wash it for a few days, then dye it!

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

I've usually just wait a day and it works out just fine. I dye my hair at home all the time and have been doing so for a year, too.

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

1-2 days. I know it sounds gross not washing your hair for that long, but the natural oils of your hair will protect it when you dye it.

Take care.

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

24 hours. You are not supposed to color your hair right after you shampoo it. When you shampoo your hair, it strips away all the oils that protect your scalp when you color it.

DYE IT NOW I DONT KNOW WHY THOUGH! MY CAT TOLD ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Wait til your hair dries and then color it.

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

You can color as soon as your hair is good and dry,but it might be better to wait til the am.

I need to dye my hair at home, I just shampooed because of all the gel. How long should I wait?

Wait till it dryes. The dye won't stick to wet hair.

The reason you don't want freshly washed hair is because the dyes are formulated to respond best in the presence of natural hair oils. They not only protect the hair from the dyes (preventing frizzies and split ends), but they also give you a finished color that isn't as prone to fading.

Give your hair 24 hours before you color it. Don't rush it and don't try to fake it out with other products. It might not be this coloring where you see the damage, but it would be the next. Your hair is very porous after you color it and it's best to treat it properly now so that you don't fry it later.

When you are shopping for hair color, read what the manufacturers directions are. Most of these manufacturers have their own websites. Check them out, they all have Q%26amp;A's sections. Don't forget their are many different types of hair colors...tints, semi-permanent and permanent. You have to choose which will better suit the desired effect you are looking for and become aware of the long term repeated colorings should you go permanent or what you would have to do in order to remove permanent color from your hair to return to it's natural color. All hair color products eventually will cause some damage to your hair, use a real good deep conditioner, should you settle for repeated colorings. Permanent black hair color is the worse to remove, it has to be removed by bleaching...bad for the hair. Choose wisely.

Ok, listen to tell u the truth it dont matter. Just make sure your hair is completely dry. Also another tip for using box color is to mix three cupfuls of shampoo , because the peroxide vol. is way to strong and thats why people dont get the right color. good luck.

How do i get a mark from a hair product off my coffee table. the mark is alcohol based.table not var

the other day i placed a bottle of spray hair gel on my table and it was leaking and left a ring on my table. the mark is alcohol based. the table is mahogony and is not varnished. how can i get it off without ruining my table. I do have woodstain but it isnt covering it.HELP

How do i get a mark from a hair product off my coffee table. the mark is alcohol based.table not varished?

You could try washing soda (available from supermarkets and hardware shops) dissolved in hot water. Apply this with extra fine wire wool along the grain in a light scrubbing motion over the whole surface of the table. This should remove all the muck on the table top. Although I haven't tried it specifically with hair gel, it's worked on all the other stains, and old furniture wax, I've tried. If you wish, when dry, you can then apply a light coat of Briwax or similar, again along the grain and with extra fine wire wool. When this dries, you can either polish with a soft cloth, or knock it back with... you guessed it, wire wool. This will make the surface less prone to marking in the future.

Use another alcohol to remove the stain. Suggest meths or surgical spirit.
